At over five meters in height [and 8 meters in width], the installation exhibited on the library terrace at the MdbK is one of the most monumental creations of Edith Karlson to date. The work is part of a series begun in 2011, with which the artist highlights the fact that problems can often appear more complex to oneself than is rationally the case. The liquid pumped through transparent tubes (in the polystyrene, wood and concrete body of the tyrannosaurus rex) is a reference to the circle of life. The noises caused by the circulation action serve to further highlight this process.
